If you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can receive a rebate for each session that you attend. This means that you pay for your session in full and then receive a refund via Medicare.

Please send through your referral and Mental Health Care Plan a minimum of five days prior to your initial session. This will ensure that that your details are confirmed. On occasion, incomplete referrals from a GP can result in initial sessions that are not rebated by Medicare. 

 

For a 60-minute session, the Medicare rebate is $96.65, making the out-of-pocket investment $103.35.

 

For a 90-minute session (e.g., EMDR), the out-of-pocket investment is $178.35.
